How is the Vanquish treatment performed?
The patient is positioned comfortably and the applicator pads are placed over the area to be treated. The device does not come in direct contact with the patient. Once the treatment begins the Vanquish measures the impedance (resistance) of the tissue and "tunes" to the fat tissue. The abdomen and love handles are treated for 30 minutes. Patients describe the treatment as a warm sensation like sitting under a sun lamp. It is important to drink plenty of water both before and after treatment to help eliminate the treated fat cells. There is no pain during treatment and no need for any form of anesthetic either.
What kind of results can be expected?
After a series of four to six treatments, most clinical studies show visible and measurable results. Some patients will see fat reduction in as early as a few days after their first treatment. After a series of four treatments in clinical trials, the average loss was two inches from the waist with some patients losing up to five inches. Individual results will vary.
